Peregrine Diamonds has completed the drilling of the core in order to obtain three kimberlites and two areas where exploration is conducted on the wholly owned project sikwane (Sikwane) near Kgatleng (Kgatleng) in the south-east of Botswana.
The company said in a statement that during the implementation of the drilling program was able to cross the kimberlites and receive their morphology.
Kimberlitic material collected for subsequent analysis for the presence of microdiamonds, while being checked by drilling two new kimberlite sites in sikwane region, said in a statement.
«Peregrine company's drilling program in sikwane effectively helped to understand the wrong hypabyssal intrusive morphology drilled kimberlites in the area and identified a significant contraction and expansion kimberlite cluster sikwane as a whole", - he said vice-president of the company German Gryutter (Herman Grütter).
"We bring together this new data in our models for exploration in three adjacent licenses that we have in the area sikwane in Botswana, after which the results will be used to search for new sites in the region", - he added.
License PL272 / 2015 of Peregrine exploration area covers 453 km2 sikwane and relates to nine kimberlites discovered by a percussion drilling and core drilling in limited by De Beers in 1997.
During this previous work diamonds were extracted from surface samples and samples from the wells in the area of kimberlite sikwane though about diamond concentration and size data are not available.
