According Bezis Ruth (Ruth Bezys), president of the Association of geologists and miners (Prospectors and Developers association) of Winnipeg, this discovery was made by a group of scientists in the consortium Lynx rock in the northeastern part of the province near Coney Lake. The diamonds have a size less than one millimeter. At this point Bezis can not say exactly how many precious stones were found, but perhaps it is "a handful" of diamonds or even more.
For 16 years, the search engines and geologists are actively searching for diamonds in Manitoba region, because diamonds are mined in adjacent areas: in Northern Ontario, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories. Some major players spent mining exploration in the region, including Kennecott in 2001, De Beers and a few years later.
Too early to declare whether there is actually an opportunity for discovery of new diamond project. However, if further studies suggest a potential mine, the next stage will require a significant investment of perhaps millions of dollars more in-depth exploration. "Thanks to the work of geologists from the Geological Survey of Manitoba and their industrial partners, a consortium of Lynx for the first time in the history of Manitoba were found diamonds This preliminary exploration does not guarantee the development of the mine, but rather confirms the possibility of the existence of a particular mineral in the geologic zone.", - he stated in the press Minister release the region trade Kliff Kallen.

Pangolin Diamonds announced the discovery of two new 210 diamonds and kimberlite indicator minerals on the MTS grid project Malatsvae (Malatswae) in Botswana.
To date, the Malatsvae managed to get 13 diamonds.
Research has shown us that the last diamonds were recovered from soil samples collected at a distance less than 110 meters apart.
One of the diamond - colorless transparent broken twinned crystal approximate dimensions 1 mm x 1 mm x 0.5 mm, while the other comprises a whitish broken stone aggregate diamond and has approximate dimensions 1 mm x 0.8 mm x 0.5 mm .
"Both diamonds have cracks and crevices filled with secondary iron oxides from orange to brown in color" - the company says.
The Pangolin Diamonds noted that in addition to 177 previously found kimberlite indicator mineral managed to find another 210 such minerals, bringing the total number to MTS grid reached 390 (including three diamonds).
"An earlier analysis of the morphology and surface texture of the garnets suggests that much of it has surface features suggestive of close occurrence of diamonds," - noted in the company.
"The distribution of diamond and garnet on a plot assumes at least three different their source MTS to grid" - entered in Pangolin.
The company said that drilling of kimberlite at MTS grid start in the second half of this year.
